Auditions are OPEN for Watermark — Gradient Dance's next original production. We're looking for committed adult movers ready to create, rehearse, and perform alongside our artistic team.
Matinee & Evening Performance: June 6, 2026
Watermark follows a curious girl whose daydreams lead her beyond the shoreline and into a mesmerizing underwater realm. As she explores this luminous world alongside fellow divers, she encounters the Spirit of the Sea itself. What begins as an adventure transforms into a deeper awakening, revealing both the magic and vulnerability hidden beneath the waves. Through movement and imagery, Watermark asks what it means to witness, to harm, and to ultimately protect our oceans.

We're building the cast for Watermark and we want to meet you. Gradient Dance's community performance company brings together dedicated adult movers to create and perform original work for Birmingham audiences.
We're less interested in your resume and more interested in how you move, listen, and collaborate.
